In 2000, Help at Home Senior Care President/Owner, Steve Bowden opened a residential care facility for the elderly in Auburn, California. While providing board and care to many seniors in our community, he learned just how strong the desire was for most people to stay in their own homes. With this in mind, Steve and his wife Nichole founded Help at Home Senior Care in March 2004.

Over the years, our family owned and operated company has provided over a thousand local seniors and their family members with compassionate options for care. We are proud to have won local awards for being the best senior care provider in the community.

We only hire people who have a heart for seniors. We make sure every employee is given the training, freedom, tools, and support to do the best work of their careers. That is why you’ll always get a friendly voice when you call.

Steve began his work with seniors in 2000 when he opened an assisted living facility in Auburn, California. After running the facility successfully for 4 years, he decided to start an in-home care company because he realized that the majority of seniors prefer to stay in their own homes when given the option. In March 2004, Steve started Heritage Senior Services. In October 2005, he purchased Help at Home Senior Care and merged the two companies. “My inspiration to help seniors comes from my belief that every person has an inherent dignity and worth that does not diminish with disability or age. I am grateful to be a part of an exceptional team that works together to provide such a valuable service.” In his spare time, Steve enjoys mountain biking, exploring the American River Canyon and traveling.

Anne came to Help at Home with a sales, marketing and small business background. In 2001,
Anne and her husband began their first business and 2 more in the years that followed. She has successfully raised their five children along the way, with one of her passions, teaching her kids how to consider and serve the elderly. “So joining HAH is a natural progression for me. I am honored to be part of a company and industry dedicated to the well-being of our family, our friends, our seniors.” In her spare time, Anne enjoys spending time with her family, friends, fitness, the outdoors, travel, and making every moment count.
